EASY PANEER TIKKA IN CONVECTION OVEN Ep. 5. Hi guys welcome back to gastronomicbug My name is srishti and today's recipe is a vegetarian delicacy of Indian starters .Paneer tikka is widely popular among everyone,its a combination of spicy and tangy flavors infused into the paneer cubes and veggies.You will find all the list of ingredients and recipe down below. 400 gms of Paneer (cottage cheese)-cut into cubes.
2 small Onions(cut into squares)
1 large Capsicum
2 med Tomato
1/2 cup hung Curd
1 1/2-2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric pwd
1 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 tbsp melted butter, plus extra to brush while grilling
Onion rings and green chutney to serve.
We will start by marinating the paneer ,for that you will need a big mixing bowl.
Add hung curd, garam masala powder,salt,turmeric powder,lemon juice, crushed kasuri methi,mustard oil,ginger garlic paste,red chili powder.
Give it a good mix until well combined.
Add the paneer,capsicum,onions and tomatoes to the marinade and combine well.
Cover it with cling film/oxy wrap for 3-4 hours (at least) or overnight whichever is convenient for you.
Cooking methods: grill option in convection oven or electric tandoor (10-12 min) or on gas stove (10 min single side)
Cooking time (oven):30-40 min (200 degree Celsius)
Bring the marinated paneer from the fridge ,take a baking tray/plate ,place the paneer and veggies on the plate or insert them into the skewers whichever is easier.
Brush melted butter on the tikkas ,generously do this part .
Place the baking plate on the top wrack (as it gets grilled evenly) .
Set the temperature to 200 deg Celsius ,grill for 20 min each side.
Take them out after 20 min ,flip them over now and brush a little more butter.Repeat the process,grill them again for 15-20 min more.
Keep checking in between ,it shouldn't burn .
Serve the tikkas hot with coriander mint chutney and onion rings.
